Thank you for visiting my blog about fostering and faith! I pray that you will leave encouraged and inspired to begin or to continue to persevere in your own fostering journey. Love those precious children deeply, yet hold them loosely. We are the ones who stand in the gap between homes and our purpose is to love them as our own, sharing with them the deep love of God known only through Jesus Christ.
Olive Crest foster parents, you have been approved to receive 1 hour of training when you read 3 of my posts and submit a write-up linked here. Woo hoo for extra training hours! Read about new placements, reunification, loss and attachment issues. Be encouraged to persevere while working in the trenches with expected and unexpected obstacles.
For others who are not called into foster care, I hope that you have a heightened desire to support foster parents and foster children in your community by coming alongside them and giving of yourselves for the glory of God.
I am a wife of one handsome hunk, homeschooling mom of three boys, foster mom, and a daughter of God. Over the past 10 years, we’ve learned to love our foster children deeply, yet hold them loosely. I share with you my heart in these articles and brief chronicles of our journey through foster care.
Contact me here and I will respond to you personally.
